The front brake hose threads into the front caliper, then gets mounted to the hardline which runs to the proportioning valve. A protective sleeve covers the rubber hose to prevent the rubber hose from getting damaged from the frail rail and other sharp objects. This front brake hose works on either the driver side or passenger side of your 1979-1986 Mustang. This hose mimics the original brake hose found on a 1979 Mustang with a 6-Cylinder Engine and 1979-1986 Mustang with a 4-Cylinder Engine. This means it is a direct fit replacement!
Please Note: This Front Brake Hose will not work with 1979-1986 V8 Mustangs or SVO Mustangs due to the different caliper set-up.
